Spa Manager Summary

Our client, a new 5-star Luxury Hotel, is looking for a new Spa Manager with an eye for detail and a heart of hospitality. The Spa Manager will manage the daily spa operations to uphold excellent guest experiences throughout the entire spa, salon, and fitness center. They will oversee staff, from hiring and training to scheduling and performance. Policies, procedures, and health regulations are implemented to ensure efficient spa functioning. Managing the budget and service profitability is crucial. A comprehensive understanding of full-service spa treatments, customer service, and business is essential for this role.

Spa Manager/Leadership Duties

  • Provide our clientele a 5-star experience first and foremost
  • Hire, develop and supervise spa staff and implement spa programs and services
  • Design and carry out marketing strategies for spa services
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of each program area property-wide,
    and see that spa offerings are communicated and updated accordingly
  • Assist with scheduling of all spa and salon staff to maximize the availability of staff for
    appointment requests while mindful of budgetary staffing costs
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address customer needs
  • Attend leadership meetings and ensure that spa staff are well-informed through daily communication
  • Work closely with the Sr. Spa Manager and Wellness Guide for special group spa and wellness bookings
  • Oversee spa retail and back bar inventory levels
  • Completing payroll bi-weekly
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all spa services, inventory, and expenses
  • Provide training to spa staff on customer service, product knowledge, and safety

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in hospitality, business or a related field preferred, or
    a combination of education and experience in a relevant position considered
  • 3+ years of experience in a spa management role in a Luxury Hotel environment preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of spa and wellness industry trends
  • Ability to create and implement policies and procedures
