The warehouse employee is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and knowledge of materials delivered to the installer or customer. The warehouse employee will safely drive and handle all materials in accordance to the company standards of service. This position is also responsible for various duties related to the handling of materials in the warehouse. This position receives, stores and distributes material and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive company vehicle for deliveries when needed (safely & legally, driving violations may jeopardize your position as a driver)
  • Shipping and receiving duties; including loading and unloading trucks
  • Read pick tickets, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to picked, packed, and/or distributed
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
  • Use computer or iPad to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management system
  • Participate in cycle counting of physical inventory
  • Open and lift heavy boxes and other containers
  • Operate forklift in warehouse setting
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Some property & equipment maintenance (mow, weed eat)
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe

Requirements:

-Work hours 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM..some overtime may be required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive and operate a forklift safely
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks
