This role will be responsible for managing six departments and a team of 75 employees to ensure efficient and effective production processes, maintain high safety standards, and meet our quality and performance objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Operations Management:**
- Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Coordinate and monitor the activities of six departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Implement and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and company goals.
2. **Staff Management:**
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of 75 employees.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
3. **Quality Control:**
- Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes and procedures.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
4. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
5. **Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower production costs.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
6. **Budget and Financial Management:**
- Develop and manage the plant’s budget.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management.
7. **Resource Management:**
- Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure optimal utilization of plant resources to meet production targets.
8. **Customer Satisfaction:**
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer needs and expectations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing management role.
- Proven experience managing multiple departments and a large team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems.
