Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a Project Accountant with Accountants Payable focus to join our team You will be responsible for processing all Accounts Payable invoices for our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and processing accounting documents related to projects
  • Supports projects with overall accounting and financial activities to measure and monitor project financial performance
  • Completes all postings, allocations, and payments for the project
  • Coordinates with project team to reflect changes in project scope or timeline
  • Tracking budget variances, monitoring expenses, and conducting research and analysis
  • Preparing financial reports and special projects as needed
  • Maintaining budgets and following project close-out guidelines
  • Updating invoice tracking spreadsheet and reviewing AR ledger
  • Reports to Accounting Manager
  • AP focused for the first couple of months
  • AR will be an added responsibility once we get AP process dialed in

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting in a construction company, subcontractor, or supplier is preferred (but not mandatory)
  • Previous experience using Sage100, processing/filling out AIA G702/G703 is preferred (but not mandatory)
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
