  • Hours 7:00am- 3:30pm
  • Some Saturdays when needed
  • Salary range: $85K to $120K
  • Must be bilingual Spanish/English
  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in business, operations, or related field and 8+ years of managerial experience in a multi-site, Engineered-to-Order/Made-to-Order manufacturing environment.

The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing, including scheduling, production, and schedule attainment (OTD), maintenance and facilities, and continuous improvement in a multi-site, engineered-to-order/made-to-order manufacturing environment.

  • Execute production plan to support and exceed established P&L metrics.
  • Responsible for on-time delivery and safety goal attainment, as they relate to production floor activities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship of employees to help build high-performing teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Uphold and foster the company’s core values throughout the organization: 1) Have a Can-Do Attitude, 2) Do the Right Thing, 3) Be a Problem Solver and 4) Put the Customer First.
  • Evaluate capacity constraints and implement countermeasures to meet production plan.
  • Align production activities to optimize direct labor headcount and hours in a low volume, high product mix environment.
  • Support facility modification and capital equipment installation timelines.
  • Significant production floor presence between multiple facilities to support production, mentor plant leadership, and adjust priorities based on customer and company needs.
  • Support plant leadership and human resources in all aspects of employee interactions.
  • Execute LEAN initiatives and adjust workflow to optimize efficiency.
  • Proactively communicate facility and equipment issues to VP of Manufacturing and other internal parties as appropriate.
  • Promote our ongoing culture of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with additional hours as necessary.
  • Ability to drive between five local manufacturing facilities (three in Melrose Park and two in Elk Grove Village) to perform duties. Clean driving record required.
  • Safety glasses and steel toed shoes are required in manufacturing plant

Education/Training/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field. 8+ years of managerial experience in a multi-site, Engineered-to-Order/Made-to-Order manufacturing environment. Experience with multiple plant shifts preferred.

  • Performs duties in a manner that assures maximum safety to self and others. Operates equipment following manufacturer’s procedures and uses proper body mechanics
  • In the event of a workplace incident or injury, immediately files first report with HR, Safety Supervisor, and/or other leadership as appropriate


Physical Demands
  • Medium-duty physical demands, some reaching, standing, bending, lifting, and prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
