Reporting directly to and under the supervision of the Sr Product Manager, the Product Analyst’s primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) to live out our Vision, “To be the members’ trusted financial partner.” Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise.

The Product Analyst is instrumental in driving the success of GLCU's deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions, and services. Responsible for contributing to the development, enhancement, and management of a comprehensive suite of offerings that cater to the evolving needs of our members while aligning with the strategic objectives of GLCU. This position requires an adequate understanding of financial products, digital trends, payments systems, and member requirements.


As a Product Analyst your duties will be:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in deposit and digital products.
  • Analyze competitor products and services to inform strategic decisions.
  • Gather and interpret data on member needs and preferences through surveys, focus groups, and data analytics.
  • Assist in the development of new deposit and digital products, as well as the enhancement of existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, Operations, and Compliance to ensure products meet member needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop product documentation, including requirements, specifications, and user stories.
  • Manage product-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Champion the member experience by ensuring that all products and services, including payment solutions, are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with members' evolving expectations.
  • Analyze product performance, usage patterns, and member behavior to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure that all deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions, and services comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.

Requirements needed to be part of this team:

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience
  • 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study at school, or extensive in-house training
  • Excel and Visa Online experience
