Job DescriptionJob Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position supports daily operations by scheduling, ensuring inventory accuracy, and material availability in order to meet production needs.

KEY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure inventory accuracy by overseeing cycle counting program and relieving inventory in the

· ERP system

· Review production requirements to ensure that materials are ordered in a timely fashion to be

· available to meet production needs

· Support daily production needs from a materials control standpoint

· Place Purchase Requisitions to order materials as needed

· Schedule production lines in order to meet lead time requirements, material availability, and

· production capacity

· Interface with internal sales and external customers to communicate key information about

· production orders, deliveries, etc.

· Process shipments in the ERP system

· Ensure material is received and stored in a timely and organized fashion

· Assist with new inventory item set up in the ERP system

· Ensure Scrap is managed and reported accurately

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will oversee one material handler who assists with material unload/storage, cycle counting, scrap removal, and other support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be a good problem solver

· Must possess good organizational skill

· Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, and previous experience with an ERP or MRP system in a manufacturing environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education (or equivalent) required and previous factory leadership experience required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in standard units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and use tape measure.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to adhere to delegation of authority and lead by instructions of management and supervision.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends.
