Overview:
theHill is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to facilitating the educational, professional, and personal life goals of our students. With a focus on personal and professional development, the Autism Specialist will work closely with small groups, maintaining a ratio of one teacher to four students (1:4).

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Facilitate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Assist students in setting and achieving personal and professional goals.
- Provide support and guidance in both academic and life skills development.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in autism education.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with autism is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Certification or licensure in Special Education or Autism Spectrum Disorders is a plus.
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
