We are a well established and growing Allergy practice with a unique focus on Food Allergy and Food Allergy treatment.  We also see patients with a full range of Allergy and Immunology needs.  A new provider recently joined our practice and we are expanding our Patient Engagement team to ensure we are able to continue to offer our new and existing patient base excellent service and support. 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a experienced Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office procedures with extra consideration for those with Allergy experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
  • Verify and update patient information and insurance details.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.
  • Manage and maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling issues.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication promptly and effectively.
  • Process referrals, authorizations, and other paperwork as needed.
  • Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (eClincialWorks a plus).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Schedule:

The office is currently open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday and Thursday and 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Tuesday and Wednesday.  The front desk team is scheduled prior to the start of business to prepare for the first patients of the day and may need to stay later than posted close times due to patient flow.  Our intent is to open on Fridays some time in 2025.
