Summary
The Quality Specialist executes actions according plans, to monitor and ensure quality of products. Identifies and reports potential issues to Management. The Quality Specialist must be familiar with a variety of areas, concepts, practices, and procedures related to the plastic injection molding process. They must use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform process audits utilizing control plans and work instruction
- Analyze quality control results and provide feedback and interpretation to management or staff
- Provide feedback to staff in quality control and analytical procedures
- Perform product audits utilizing drawing requirements and calibrated gages
- Analyze defective product and defect trends
- Supports Quality, Environmental, and Safety objectives
- Reliable attendance
- Other duties as assigned in Management’s sole discretion
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Must be able to communicate to others, as well as be able to receive communication from others
- Ability to multi-task and operate multiple lines
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures pertaining to the general operator
- Must be willing to work any shift; 8 hours, weekends, and overtime\
- Experience with metrology / measurement devices
- Experience with the APQP process / PPAP
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling of parts
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds
