Location:  Lake County, Illinois
Compensation:  $60.00 per hour, Paid Time off, Company 401k contributions, Health, dental, and vision insurance.  Total Annual Compensation including benefits is $ 138,000.00

IBM Turbonomic Specialist Job Description
We are looking for a highly motived Turbonomic Specialist that will be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and operations of optimization solutions for on-prem and cloud environments. As a Turbonomic Specialist, you will be responsible for leveraging the Turbonomic platform to understand and diagnose incidents, as well as perform proactive maintenance. The role requires expertise in utilizing Turbonomic for infrastructure monitoring and application support. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understand of virtualized environments and technologies involving multiple disciplines. This role will also be expected to analyze, design, present, and engineer both on-prem and cloud environment resource efficiencies, along with cost saving opportunities.
IBM Turbonomic Specialist Responsibilities

• Utilize the Turbonomic platform to monitor and optimize the performance of infrastructure components, including ESXi hosts, virtual machines, and cloud resources

• Diagnose incidents and identify root causes using Turbonomic's advanced monitoring and analytics capabilities
• Perform proactive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient utilization and allocation of infrastructure resources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and operations, to address and resolve infrastructure-related issues
• Document incidents, investigations, and resolutions accurately and comprehensively
• Stay up to date with the latest features and updates of the Turbonomic platform, leveraging them effectively for infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
• Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to define and implement monitoring and optimization strategies based on the insights derived from Turbonomic
• Familiarity with Dynatrace and Service Now, and the ability to integrate these tools with Turbonomic is a requirement
• A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks)
• Collaborates with the on-prem and cloud engineering team on standards and strategies
• Establishes strong partnerships with key vendors, BTO’s, and infrastructure teams
• Continual learning mindset to keep up with Turbonomic's latest features and industry trends
• Strong working knowledge with all aspects of Turbonomic, including groups, policies, schedules and resource analysis

IBM Turbonomic Specialist Experience and Skills Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and 3-5 years’ experience
• Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advance the business.
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Has participated in the design, implementation, and migration of applications to an on-prem or cloud environment
• Recent work experience health care/life science and Quality/GxP/GMP regulated organization is a plus
• Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members
• Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented
• Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills
• Must have a strong customer focus
• Good working knowledge of DevOps, various types of automation, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior experience designing, managing VMware, AWS and Azure environments
• Experience with VMWare, ESXi Server with Virtual Center required. Working knowledge of vSphere and VDI
• Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, RDS and PaaS database solutions
• Experience with Unix distributions and flavors, Linux preferred
• Technical knowledge of industry standard disaster recovery policies

IBM Turbonomic Specialist Qualifications Preferred

• VMware Specialist Track (VCP, VCPA)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• Azure Certification Track - 103 Microsoft Azure Administrator 2020, AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies 2020, or AZ-301 Microsoft Azure Architect Design 2020
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
