Warehouse Shipping Receiving Clerk

Description Manufacturing Company in San Diego, CA is looking to hire a warehouse, shipping and receiving associate. The right candidate will be responsible for the following tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as needed)Requirements for Eligibility
Schedule: M-F ( 7:00am - 4:00pm )
Compensation $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Support client method of shipment for after testing actions.
- Provides support for internal customer and corresponds with customer both internal and external
- Performs all functions to track and provide support for clients.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or shipping information on cartons.
- Provides a high level of communication and customer service to internal engineers.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Adhere to Quality Management System regarding shipping procedures.
- Routes items to departments, as needed.
- May operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following all established Quality and 5S standardization.

- High School graduate, Associates preferred
- 3-5 years of shipping and receiving experience with a strong emphasis on providing a high degree of customer service is required
- Previous experience in an ERP system is preferred.
- Experience in working within a function that is documented off standard operating procedures and process flow
- Experienced in Forklift and hand truck usage
- Excellent verbal & written English language skills are required
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy
