Position: Shipping and Receiving Clerk II
Location: San Marcos
Hours/Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $18.50 per hour

Position Purpose:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk II performs various shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring compliance with established procedures to maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control Coordination: Ensures incoming goods meet quality standards before release.
  • Order Processing: Prepares and manages paperwork for shipments and production order requests.
  • Inventory Management: Utilizes JD Edwards and Warehouse Management Systems to track and place inventory.
  • Customs Compliance: Follows C-TPAT procedures for shipping and receiving.
  • Equipment Inspection: Conducts daily checks of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Order Verification: Ensures shipping accuracy by matching items to pick tickets.
  • Loading and Staging: Prepares large and international shipments, including palletizing and loading trailers.
  • Internal Delivery: Manages the delivery of goods within the company campus.
  • Supply Management: Assists in maintaining necessary levels of shipping supplies.
  • Training: Supports the training of junior clerks and seasonal staff.
  • Safety Compliance: Adheres to safety standards, participates in training, and reports any safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a warehouse or shipping environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in operating pallet jacks and forklifts.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Basic proficiency in math and computer use for warehouse tasks.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Requires frequent walking, climbing, lifting (up to 70 lbs), pushing, pulling, and manual dexterity.
  • Work environment includes a warehouse setting with exposure to seasonal temperature variations and concrete floors.
