JOB SUMMARY

The Millon Dollar Round Table is seeking a Senior Manager for our Global Markets department. This position works in conjunction with the Senior Director Global Markets to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Global Markets department with significant emphasis on managing the staff at MDRT HQ. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring that MDRT and its Family of Brands have and maintain a competitive advantage in key markets and distribution channels to achieve enterprise-wide membership growth, recruitment, retention and engagement targets. The primary responsibilities and focus of this role are: managing the day-to-day operations of the Global Markets department located at MDRT headquarters including the identification of global market development opportunities for MDRT and its Family of Brands, creation and implementation of business plans, discovery and utilization of resources to generate revenue, strategic expansion in target markets, managing MCC Reimagined, and broadening the portfolio of products and services and their accessibility to key stakeholders as well as developing the staff team. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A. Collaborating with the Senior Director, Global Markets this position employs innovative global growth strategies designed to meet and exceed revenue targets; strengthen positioning and awareness of MDRT and its Family of Brands' value proposition and leverages relationships to achieve goals.

B. Oversees the day-to-day operations of MDRT’s Global Markets team at MDRT headquarters. Responsible for supervising staff, supporting staff with any roadblocks, performance management, coaching and growth of team member, and helping to improve employee engagement.

C. Establishes processes for developing, implementing and accompanying progress of regional and country specific membership development plans.

D. Together with Region Managers, assesses the market potential for membership development and determines factors that will impact growth and sustainability/retention. Key focus on the North America market.

E. Directs MDRT's strategic relations initiatives with external industry partners in collaboration with the Senior Director.

F.  Serves as liaison to other internal departments to further enhance collaboration and increase overall impact of the organization.

G. Analyzes and interprets data to bolster and substantiate membership marketing assertions and proposals; develops an informed understanding of market trends to anticipate and meet the unique needs of MDRT and its Family of Brands members and strategic allies.

H. Ensures that MDRT has a strong global brand identity that adequately responds to local needs.

I. Meets and collaborates with industry colleagues to build knowledge and educate key stakeholders about the status of the financial services profession and the industry. 

J.  Prepares RFPs, negotiates terms of contracts, and manages suppliers for assigned projects.

K. Develops and manages the department's HQ operating budgets in partnership with Senior Director.

L. Travels domestically and abroad; up to 15%.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in a membership, volunteer leadership development and/or account management position with emphasis on relationship management; ideally for an international non-profit membership or trade association.
  • Experience in project planning preferably in a global business environment with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading the implementation of a market/region-specific marketing strategy with measurable success objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills representing a high degree of accuracy to draft correspondence and interact professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, and virtually.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking experience.
  • Highly detailed, process-oriented individual who thrives in a fast–paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required.
  •  Experience leading a team of professionals.
