POSITION TITLE: Purchasing / Fleet / Warehouse Manager

REPORTS TO: President

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for managing various aspects of warehouse operations, executing purchase strategies to ensure mutually beneficial vendor relationships and overseeing fleet processes, inventory and repair. This position will require a high-level understanding of industry terminology as well as analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize workflow. This position will report directly to the President of the company and will work closely with the Executive Management team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

Purchasing

· Procuring goods and services for the company

· Develop and execute purchasing strategies

· Manage existing and identify new supplier relationships

· Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure mutually beneficial relationships

· Issue and manage the purchase order process

· Ensure invoices received match the issued purchase order

Fleet Management

· Scheduling of routing maintenance on all company vehicles

· Securing urgent or emergency vehicle repairs

· Maintain current vehicle fleet list with associated drivers

· Scheduling and tracking use of stake body truck for deliveries and return of materials

· Manage vehicle inventory of tools and materials

· Facilitate the ordering of new vehicles at the direction of management

· Facilitate the disposal of vehicles at the direction of management

· Manage the outfitting of new vehicles for shelving installation (if applicable) and graphics

· Manage the outfitting of new vehicles for equipment, tools and materials (if applicable)

 

Warehouse

· Organization of warehouse facility and yard

· Organization and management of offsite warehouse facility

· Manage shipping and receiving of goods and materials

· Manage return of unused material to suppliers

· Manage tool crib ensuring crib is organized and tools are repaired and in good working order

· Manage tool / equipment check in-out system

· Manage EV charger inventory

· Safe storage of hazardous materials

· Compliance with all safety regulations

· Compliance with all federal, state and local warehousing requirements

· Other duties as assigned by the President

REQUIRED SKILL SETS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma, College degree preferred

· Five (5) years of experience in related fields

· Analytical with strong problem-solving skills

· Excellent personal organizational & relationship skills

· Knowledge of procurement principles, strategies and best practices

· Ability to effectively prioritize work

· Proficiency with computers and working knowledge of MS Office software

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· High level understanding of industry terminology

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds

· Standing, walking and bending for extended periods of time

· Operating equipment that requires hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity
