We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Jet Truck/JetVac Operators (Level II and III) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the efficient operation of our fleet and contribute to the maintenance of critical utility infrastructure. As a Jet Truck/JetVac Operator, you will perform various tasks related to work-zone setup, asset inspection, pipeline cleaning, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work-zone/Traffic Control Setup:
    • Set up appropriate signs and traffic control devices following the guidance of the Traffic Manager.
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with flaggers, work crews, and management.
    • Ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic during work operations.
  2. Asset Inspection:
    • Field locate utility assets using various hand tools, maps, and available information.
    • Safely access and inspect manholes, vaults, chambers, and other underground utility structures.
  3. Pipeline Cleaning:
    • Demonstrate expertise in the operation of the Jet Truck/JetVac equipment.
    • Identify and select the appropriate cleaning tools and methods to effectively clean pipelines.
    • Collaborate with the team, including the CCTV operator, to determine the best approach for pipeline cleaning.
    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary field repairs.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and pull up to 50lbs or more over short distances.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short periods.
  • Endurance to stand for up to 2 hours or longer during a workday.
  • Agility to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times an hour.
  • Aptitude to navigate uneven terrain.
  • Proficiency in ladder climbing.
  • Competency in entering and working in confined spaces.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Possession, or ability to obtain, a valid DOT Physical certification.
  • Maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Possession, or the ability to pass, a valid WSSC clearance.
  • Possession, or ability to obtain, confined space entry certification.

Level II and III Jet Truck/JetVac Operators must have a proven track record in operating specialized equipment and be well-versed in utility infrastructure maintenance.
