Job Summary: The Personal Injury Paralegal will assist our legal team with all aspects of personal injury case management, from initial client intake to trial preparation. This role demands excellent organizational skills, a thorough understanding of personal injury law, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case development.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Coordinate and schedule medical examinations, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Perform legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
  • Summarize medical records, depositions, and other documents.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists.
  • File documents with the court and serve legal documents to involved parties.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the ethical standards of the legal profession.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field; paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a personal injury paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law, legal terminology, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research and legal database software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite.
