The Position

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree required, Paralegal Certificate preferred
•Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consultant experience a plus
•Medical malpractice and nursing home defense experience
•Demonstrated proficiency in medical and damage analysis
•8+ years of paralegal experience
•Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases
•Exceptional business writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
•Excellent organizational skills and a team player
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
•Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities to meet client needs

Responsibilities
•Analyze and summarize medical records
•Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records
•Create billing record summaries
•Communicating with fact witnesses and assisting attorneys with preparing same for depositions
•Assist with obtaining and handling document production including client's policies and procedures, employee files and facility records.
•Determine, prepare, and organize materials needed for expert witness review
•Contact and conduct investigative research on expert witnesses
•Contact outside sources to retrieve information to review and analyze
•Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources
•Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
•Summarize transcripts and organize key documents
•Manage documents and maintain organized case files
