Additionally, the paralegal must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Trademark Paralegal Duties

  • Conducting trademark searches
  • Preparing and filing trademark applications
  • Maintaining correspondence with the USPTO
  • Assisting with prosecution of trademark applications
  • Monitoring and maintaining deadlines
  • Assisting with trademark enforcement and maintenance

Trademark Paralegal Skills

  • Researching trademark availability and filing requirements
  • Preparing and filing trademark applications
  • Monitoring trademark status and ensuring timely renewal of registrations
  • Preparing responses to office actions and other official correspondence
  • Conducting searches for conflicting marks
  • Maintaining trademark docketing system

Trademark Paralegal Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Knowledge of US and international trademark law
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and other government agencies
  • Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
