Southland Insulators in Manassas, Virginia is currently seeking an ambitious, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our large, family owned and operated construction company as a Customer Support Specialist. This new team member should be very detail oriented, have excellent prioritization skills, be well organized and able to work in a very fast-paced office environment. Previous work in residential construction and/or administrative support is a plus.

 

The Customer Support Specialist handles several functions to facilitate the sales team, installation crews and the production team manager. The support specialist performs tasks necessary to keep all projects running smoothly with scheduling changes occurring frequently. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, perform data entry, and answer phones.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Sales Team.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Production Team Manager.

  • Assist in the coordination and management of basic and routine contract administration under the direct supervision and guidance of the Production Team Manager.

  • Prioritize and perform daily tasks with a moving target.

  • Duties include answering phones, scheduling customer install dates, providing customer service, data entry, heavy multi-tasking and assisting the Sales Team.

  • Frequent movement about the office to coordinate installations between the Sales Team, Installation Crew and Production Team Manager.

  • Timely organization of all documents pertaining to each customer/installation.

  • Pay commensurate with experience.

 

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently

  • Demonstrated attitude and ability to produce high quality results

  • Ability to climb stairs within the office

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related administrative/ customer service experience

  • Previous residential insulation experience is preferred
