South Hill Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, AAHA accredited hospital. We have a full service, state of the art facility with a dedicated, long term core staff. We are seeking a part time or full time Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are committed to offering the best quality care to our patients and clients and need highly skilled, compassionate team members to care for our patients. As our valued licensed veterinary technician, your job is critical to the hospital team. Customer service, patient care and client interaction our priority We are seeking highly qualified, positive, motivated, compassionate and proactive individuals. Applicants must be licensed in the State of Washington or just newly graduated veterinary technician.

Technician duties and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing “First Class” customer service
  • Patient Care and educating clients on patient care
  • Digital and digital dental radiography
  • Anesthesia, surgical monitoring, communicating discharge instructions
  • Dental prophylaxis
  • In-house lab work and processing samples for outside lab
  • Placing IV catheters, phlebotomy, injections, assessing patient vitals
  • Managing, treating and monitoring critically ill and emergent patients
  • “Avimark” system a plus but not required
  • Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment
  • Friendly, compassionate, outgoing and professional in appearance, speaking and writing
  • Attention to detail, reviewing prescriptions
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, working 8-12 hours a day.

This position will require working one weekend day and include afternoon/evening shifts. Flexible, part time schedules are available. Starting pay range of $23 is with minimum one year experience, starting pay of $21 is with no experience, new licensed LVT.
