We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team of professionals. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our veterinarians with routine medical, diagnostic, dental, and surgical procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including routine exams, vaccinations, and surgeries.
- Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring aseptic conditions and proper anesthesia administration.
- Provide post-operative care, monitoring patients' recovery and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Complete daily checklists, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Restrain patients safely and securely, handling animals of various sizes.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, frequently involving kneeling, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program.
- Age 18 or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
- Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and respectful interactions with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Good personal hygiene and professional appearance, adhering to our practice's standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Pass a background check.
