Experienced paralegal needed for full-time work in an established and busy civil litigation firm located in Nashville, Tennessee. Candidate should be extremely organized, detail oriented, and hard working. The ideal candidate will have experience handling and organizing a large volume of cases, information, and documents with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly. This position will require working for multiple attorneys on exciting and high stakes cases. The preferred candidate will have experience filing in state and federal courts (PACER).

Duties Include:

- Review and prepare correspondence

- Answer phone calls and take messages with professional phone etiquette

- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files

- Perform clerical tasks including photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents

- Utilize document management systems to organize and maintain electronic files

- Assist with data entry and record keeping

- Coordinate and file pleadings and other filings on court dockets

- Oversee service of process

- Assist attorneys with drafting and formatting legal documents, and preparing files

- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity

 

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years previous experience as a paralegal assistant or in a similar role is preferred

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Familiarity with document management systems and file organization

- Attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and editing

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

- Paralegal certification and/or secondary degree preferred, but not required if comparable experience exists

 

 

Salary & Benefits:

 

Approximately $55,000 to $65,000 (Negotiable)
