We are looking for a motivated entry-level Transportation Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in Austin, TX.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project development, design, and plan development tasks for transportation projects, working closely with both staff and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for this role. Responsibilities will include working on alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, plan development, and construction estimates. The EIT will also assist with technical reports, specifications, and calculations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with computer packages such as MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team player mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience preparing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for government engineering projects
  • Experience visiting project sites and meeting with clients
  • Skills in developing cost estimates and project schedules
