Job Overview

The role of a Senior Civil Engineer, EIT at Insight Global involves collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure client satisfaction through meticulous calculations, engineering evaluations, and fieldwork. The primary responsibilities encompass:

  • Development of PS&E documents utilizing AutoCAD
  • Conducting engineering evaluations
  • Contributing to project documentation
  • Maintaining GIS and databases
  • Collecting field data
  • Performing data entry tasks
  • Creating graphics to support reports and other communications
  • Assisting in the preparation and editing of technical reports and memos
  • Engaging in client meetings as necessary
  • Responsible for producing graphics, including data analysis in support of reports and correspondence.
  • Providing assistance to professional staff as required.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 1-2 years of relevant civil design experience.
  • Mandatory Registered Texas EIT certification
  • Preferred skills in AutoCAD design (Traffic Control Plans are advantageous)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with robust math and science abilities
  • Capability to analyze and resolve issues with minimal oversight
  • Knowledge of pavement evaluation and design is a plus
  • Experience in drainage or grading design is beneficial
  • Familiarity with GIS and database management is advantageous
  • Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record and appropriate work authorization documents.
