Senior Human Resources Generalist
American Alarm and Communications, Arlington MA
Do you love recruiting, employee relations, building processes and automating them? Can you run reports and help organize an extremely busy HR department for an ever expanding company? Then this is the job for you
This is a career-building opportunity for an HR pro who has worked in the trenches, understands the big picture, and knows how to reach positive solutions to routine and complicated matters. No two days are the same and it is important to note that we have FUN while we work
The details: Reporting to the HR Director and based in our Arlington, MA location, you’ll work hands-on in all aspects of human resources management for our team of 320 + employees at seven branch locations across New England. You’ll have an emphasis on full life cycle recruitment, talent management, policy creation and process automation. You will maintain salary information and job descriptions. You will be responsible for new-hire onboarding including working on 30-60-90-day development plans for all new hires in collaboration with their manager. There is no shortage of work but there is a need for a creative thinker with an extremely detailed eye for numbers and ability to work autonomously.
What you need to apply: At least 5 years of HR experience with a proven track record of taking initiative and handling numerous priorities at once. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Experience with HRIS and ATS systems (we use ADP Workforce Now); proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
Compensation: We offer a highly competitive salary, plus incentive bonus, and profit sharing. We provide a comprehensive benefits program that includes medical, dental and vision insurance coverage; 401k plan with employer matching contributions; Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA); life insurance, supplemental life, and AD&D insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; paid vacation, personal and holiday time.
Family business: American Alarm and Communications is a comprehensive security systems and life-safety integration and monitoring company. We’ve been at this for 53 years, still family-owned, and the first employee we hired is still with us. That tells you something about how we value people, and how our employees value working here.
Our mission: At American Alarm our only mission is to protect people, their homes, and businesses, with electronic security systems and 24-7 alarm monitoring. Everyone in our company contributes to that mission by doing their job effectively.
