Providing end-to-end customer support, solutions, planning and implementing fiber connectivity solutions
Must have OSP Project Management background - 5 years in OSP minimum
15-50% travel required - may be regional/national

Job Description:

  • Manage daily operations of splicing vendors for multiple fiber optic projects.
  • Assess and validate requirements for new route planning.
  • Coordinate access to customer and network sites for splicing and testing.
  • Provide technical expertise in fiber optic splicing and testing.
  • Collaborate with project managers to refine schedules, manage budgets, and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee procurement of equipment and monitor material stock to avoid delays.
  • Identify project risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Conduct resource planning and manage RFP processes, including contract negotiations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of splicing documents and project reporting.
  • Travel up to 50% to support project needs.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in telecommunications, with expertise in outside plant construction, fiber optics, and project management.
  • Knowledge of fiber splicing, testing, and optical network design.
  • Experience managing large capital projects and RFP processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Earth, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read construction and splicing documents.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
