Construction Inspector Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepare daily reports for all construction activity, obtain and document all material tags during construction. Supplement inspection records with photographs.

· Attend project meetings as needed with client and the contractors for the duration of the project.

· Work in close coordination with material testing personnel and maintain testing records.

· Assure that the contractor's construction operations are being conducted in a safe manner in accordance to the project's Traffic Control Plan and CAL-OSHA Construction Safety Order.

· Administer the project to assure all elements of the actual construction are furnished, installed and constructed in accordance with the Project Plans and Specifications.

· Inspect the construction of all on-site and off-site improvements.

· All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient in civil construction inspections.

· Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.

· Extensive knowledge of job site safety.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

· 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8 years of general construction experience.

· Experience working on public works prevailing wage projects

· Experience working on backbone infrastructure and wastewater treatment facilities recommended

· 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety certification preferred
