We are seeking an Accounting Associate to become an integral part of our team The associate performs a variety of routine clerical activities that are essential for maintaining the credit union's financial, statistical, and account records. These tasks ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the Credit Union's fiscal operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile investment interest payments, daily cash letter submission, and daily settlements
  • Journal transactions after review to ensure that general ledger accounts are in balance 
  • Reconcile company checks issued/cleared 
  • Assist in the review of supplemental reports related to Automated Clearing House transactions
  • Prepare monthly reports on financial institution rate offerings in the local market
  • Compiling documentation required for fixed asset acquisitions and accounts payable invoices

​Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in accounting preferred, but willing to train
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Basic computer skills in the use of MS Office business software programs required
