Job Title: Outreach Specialist - Retail

Location: Portland, OR (Remote Position)

Are you passionate about promoting energy efficiency and making a positive impact in your community? We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting retail locations and driving engagement with our energy efficiency programs.

Responsibilities:

Retail Support:

1. Conduct regular visits to participating locations with a single product category at least once every four to six weeks.

2. Maintain up-to-date records of location visits daily.

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with both management and sales floor staff.

4. Place and manage point-of-purchase (POP) materials to enhance product visibility.

5. Perform quality assurance checks to confirm accurate product pricing and stocking.

6. Provide valuable resources to sales staff, educating them on the key benefits of our Program product offerings.

7. Conduct outreach to non-participating retail locations to identify key barriers and opportunities for collaboration.

8. Actively engage new locations and introduce new program product categories at existing locations.

9. Recommend lead generation strategies and other promotional tactics to drive customers to our retail partners.

10. Collaborate with retailers in identified areas to organize and host targeted events.

11. Identify opportunities for cross-over community outreach events to maximize impact.

12. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in outreach roles preferred.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently.

· Passion for promoting energy efficiency and community engagement.

· Must have a reliable vehicle and valid Drivers License and be comfortable with extensive amount of driving.
