Hanes Geo Components (HGC) in Winston Salem, NC, a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE:  LEG), is seeking a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor to join our team. HGC is the leading distributor of geosynthetics, erosion control, and soil stabilization products used in the construction industry. 

So, what will you be doing as a Production Supervisor? 

  • Manage 20-25 production employees in an open warehouse environment 

  • Establish a production schedule daily 

  • Work closely with warehouse supervisors to ensure an efficient shift 

  • Oversee and communicate all company safety information and initiatives 

  • Interview and be a part of the hiring process guided by human resources 

  • Making executive decisions about employee placement 

  • Direct supervision of employees through motivation and training                                                  

  • Keep employees informed of any new or change in company policy                  

  • Responsible for writing Job Performance, Quality Reviews, and Safety/Attendance warnings, as well as addressing employee concerns in an appropriate manner.

  • Keep the Operations Manager informed of all issues: maintenance, personnel, quality, safety, etc. 

  • Monitor and report inventory for the shift 

  • Additional duties may be required                                                                                             

To be successful in this role, you'll need: 

  • Proven successful warehouse and production management and/or supervisory experience 

  • Adequate computer skills for ticket printing, inventory tracking, shipping reporting, and employee time reporting 

  • Adequate math skills for production calculations 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • College degree preferred
