Traco Manufacturing was started in 1985 and has grown to be a national supplier & manufacturer of packaging components & supplies.  Packaging labels & components manufactured in our Utah facility can be found on retail products in stores throughout America.

We are seeking a full-time Human Resource Manager/Administrator for our manufacturing facility located in Orem, Utah.  This onsite position will own all aspects of developing & implementing the human resource policies & programs in support of the organization’s goals and objectives.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Being responsible and accountable for all Human Resources functions of the organization.
  • Ensure accurate & timely payroll.  Work closely with Production & Office leadership to ensure accurate timecards, PTO, and salary/wage information bare recorded weekly.
  • Work closely with Production & Office leadership to manage and resolve employee relation issues. Respond to and provide guidance to management and team members on employee-related issues, complaints, corrective actions, or problems. Counsel, coach and assist management in handling and addressing employee relation issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective employee investigations.  Additionally, take the lead in working with the third-party workers compensation administrator where applicable in workers compensation investigations.
  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations and employmepractices. Identify legal requirements affecting human resources functions and ensure policies and procedures are in compliance.  Work directly with outside agencies and legal counsel for employer guidance where needed.
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding new employees, working directly with department managers.  Direct contact with outside temporary agencies & employees.
  • Provide assistance with the implementation and administration of the annual performance evaluation program as well as employee engagement.
  • Oversee the annual benefits open enrollment with employees, insurance broker/companies, and any other vested parties.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and retention efforts.


The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • 3+ years of successful performance as an HR Administrator/Manager and/or other HR related role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws, ability to maintain confidential information, and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.  Maintain confidentiality and take initiative.
