Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team, working alongside a Urology specialist in Smithtown, NY. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and possess the necessary skills to support healthcare professionals in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Urology specialist with patient examinations and procedures
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
  • Record patient information, including vital signs, medical histories, and test results
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort during visits
  • Follow all healthcare regulations and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is a plus
  • Previous experience in a medical setting, especially in Urology, is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
