As we continue to expand, BoatJunkie Sales and Service is seeking an experienced and reliable Staff Accountant.

Ideal Candidate will accurately and timely fulfill accounting functions and generate accurate financial records according to company procedures and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting Comptroller with all phases of the accounting while maintaining company records including but not limited to G/L entries, AP payments & AR receipts.

Key Responsibilities:

· Executeon all details of our company Vision, Mission, and Values.

· Adhere to Accounting department processes and procedures.

· Work with employees to resolve accounting related issues as they arise.

· Review Service Work Orders for accuracy and work with service team to resolve discrepancies.

· Participate in Quarterly Inventory Recounts, Analyze Data, and Assist in Creating Adjustment Entries if Needed.

· Process, Code, & file A/P invoices. Maintain a uniform approach to data entry.

· Make checks & electronic payments adhering to vendor terms and conditions.

· Reconcile Vendor A/P statements and contact vendors to resolve discrepancies. Follow up on outstanding balances.

· Perform Company Credit Card Analysis and code activity to GL appropriately.

· Maintain vendor records in company databases and update them as changes arise.

· Maintain records of 1099 Vendors and assist in the issuing of 1099’s for tax season.

· Maintain Petty Cash, Ramp Card, and make Bank runs as needed.

· Maintain and accurately update Accounts Receivable customer accounts.

· Process manufacturer rebate payments and apply to open invoices.

· Close manufacturer warranty claims & parts returns claims.

· Track and maintain records of company tools, equipment, & rental slips.

· Assist in analysis of GL accounts and accounting entries for the Comptroller and Executive team.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Assist in the implementation of new accounting procedures.

Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in accounting roles or internships is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
