Industrial Construction Project Manager - Construction GC - Base Salary to 120k/year - Lancaster, PA

  • The Industrial Construction Project Manager will play a vital role in overseeing all phases of our clients’ industrial construction projects. The expertise of the Industrial Construction Project Manager in coordinating workers, materials, and equipment will ensure that specifications are met, work progresses smoothly, and projects are completed on time and within budget. With projects currently in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, travel will be an integral part of our success. Projects range in size from $100,000 and a couple months to $15 Million over 18 months. The Industrial Construction Project Manager will be working specifically in the industrial sector on Wastewater Treatment Plants and other Water Treatment facilities throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Manage multiple projects across multiple states from $500K to $15MM in contract size.
  • Negotiate purchase orders and subcontracts with vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Determine resources (manpower, equipment and materials) within budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and subcontractors necessary to complete projects
  • Coordinate with project superintendents onsite to get materials and equipment in place
  • Evaluate progress and compare with detailed cost reports and provide updates
  • Analyze key operating metrics and provide meaningful feedback to management.
  • Prepare monthly job cost reports and review with the management team.
  • Prepare quarterly billing budget and forecasts, both static and forecasted.
  • Analyze variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as construction project manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Knowledge of MS Office, budget and cost software and interactions
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management and related computerized systems.
  • Prior construction industry experience preferred.
