Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities and supervising field personnel.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage field staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with management and design teams
* Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
* Conduct site audits and manage cost control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
* Collaborate with Project Foremen to oversee construction activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
* Maintain accurate records of project progress, including look-ahead schedules and weekly reports on equipment maintenance
* Submit work job tickets to the General Superintendent, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
* Review project plans and daily records, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
* Coordinate daily lane closures and dump locations, ensuring efficient and safe operations
* Calculate initial take-offs with plans, ensuring accurate estimates and cost control
* Oversee QA/QC testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Prepare subgrade layouts, verifying accuracy and implementing corrective actions as needed
* Review thickness and reinforcement requirements, preparing subgrade layouts and implementing plans for implementation
* Identify grading deviations between plans and field, implementing corrective actions to ensure accuracy
* Maintain daily records of quantities for each project, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (desired)
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paving Foreman or equivalent
* OSHA 30 certification (required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and direct field staff
* Passion for delivering high-quality results, with attention to detail and commitment to safety
