We are seeking a skilled and experienced I&C Programmer to join our dynamic engineering team. The I&C Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems and instrumentation solutions for various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems engineering, programming, and instrumentation, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient solutions.

Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Programmer Responsibilities
  • Utilize and program PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects.
  • Review specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, perform start up and commissioning activities with minimal input from other personnel.
  • Understand and implement communications systems such as Ethernet based local area networks and wireless radio systems.
  • Create Instrument material take-offs from drawings.
  • Work closely with Project Manager, Project Team and Client to implement solutions.
Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Programmer Position Requirements
  • 5+ years I&C programming experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting problems in operational situations.
  • Familiar with I&C Drawings (loops, cabinet layout/wiring) and P&ID.
  • Experienced with programming PLCs and HMIs. Knowledge of various PLCs and SCADA software. Rockwell PLC’s and VTScada software is preferred..
  • Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs, Contractors and Regulators.
  • Must maintain a level of precision and accuracy appropriate to the project demands.
