MKEC is looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team at our Overland Park, KS location. This position will primarily work in Industrial Process Control and/or Water and Wastewater.

Requirements:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of directly related experience. Experience in Industrial Process Control and/or Water and Wastewater is preferred. Design of detailed electrical control systems including plan drawings, network drawings, installation details, control panel drawings, I/O lists, etc. Develop, test, and startup of PLC programs and HMI application Demonstrated knowledge/familiarity with: Allen Bradley, RSLogix500 & 5000, FactoryTalk View SE & ME, Wonderware System Platform, Proficy Machine Edition, Unity, Concept, Vijeo Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Meet the physical requirements to work in and around construction sites. Travel up to 30% of the time. Experienced in Microsoft Office. Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as time management skills. Able to work in a collaborative environment. Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
