Facilities Manager

New Horizons is looking for Facilities Manager to work closely with the Facilities Director. The Facilities Manager will oversee and supervise the janitorial and maintenance departments. The Facilities Manager will perform or coordinate maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lawn care and HVAC care for the facility sites and rental houses.

The Facilities Manager will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to focus when distractions or interruptions occur, and able to adapt to the needs of the organization.

Job Qualifications

  • Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Maintenance experience required
  • Janitorial experience preferred
  • Forklift certification

Skills & Abilities

  • Walk, stand, sit, bend, squat, turn, pivot, reach, carry, and grasp with hands
  • Good balance, eye-hand and foot coordination
  • Ability to lift/maneuver up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Ability to deal with adverse circumstances
