Veterinary Technician

$15 - $25 an hour - Part-time, Full-time

Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital is in search of 2-3 skilled and energetic veterinary technicians or assistants that are eager to further their careers in veterinary medicine. Both full and part time options are available starting between $15-$25/ hr based on performance and ability. Previous veterinary technician/ assistant experience are preferred, although we are willing to train new veterinary technician graduates. Continuing education and certification opportunities are available within the practice. Our veterinary technician's skills must include but are not limited to: assisting veterinarians in surgical procedures, accuracy in blood draws and placement of IV catheters, proper restraining of the animals, knowledge of animal science and diagnostics, providing education to our clients, administering general anesthesia, and experience in taking radiographs. We have two offices located in Monroeville and Greensburg Pennsylvania.
