Receptionist

Schedules patient appointments accurately in appropriate time slots
Reviews scheduled patients for outstanding balances and places calls to notify patients prior to making future appointments
Demonstrates excellent customer service while over the phone or in person.
Answers busy phone lines
Collects appropriate co-pays and any outstanding balances at time of visit.
Ensures all forms have necessary demographic information and takes all other necessary documents at the time of the check-in.
Consistently completes and takes detailed messages and sends to appropriate staff member during office visit.
Maintains patient and office confidentiality.
Displays professionalism in dealings with patients, staff and clinicians.
Completes miscellaneous administrative functions as needed to include printing out immunizations records.
Pitches in to cover shortages.
Consistently takes initiative to assist in other administrative functions (i.e. medical records, collection calls, referrals).
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School diploma
Experience – Minimum of 2 years reception experience in a healthcare office setting, a plus
Technical/Clinical Skills (Usage):
Typing
Microsoft office
EMR Experience a plus
