About Us: Melendez Legal is a small growing law firm specializing in immigration law, committed to providing effective and compassionate legal representation to our clients. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our team. Family based-Immigration law experience is required to conduct consultations and packet reviews without needed training.
Job Responsibilities:
Client Consultations: Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their immigration needs, answer their questions, and provide guidance. Ensure clients receive quality legal advice and support.
Paralegal Support: Answer questions from paralegals and provide assistance to ensure smooth case management and workflow.
Strategic Planning: Develop strategies for prospective clients to address their unique immigration situations effectively.
Document Review: Review and finalize packets and documentation prepared for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bar admission from Utah state only
- More than 3 years family based immigration law experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to immigration law, with or without prior experience.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and capable of contributing to business development efforts.
- Fluent in Spanish, preferred
