Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Entry-Level Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have recently graduated from a technical college or diesel technology program and possess a strong foundation in diesel engines and repair techniques. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced diesel repair environment while working under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on diesel engines, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Inspect diesel vehicles and equipment for wear and tear and identify potential issues.
  • Assist experienced technicians with more complex repairs, such as electrical diagnostics.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate of a technical college or diesel technology program.
  • ASE certification is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous diesel repair experience, even if through internships or part-time work.
  • Familiarity with different makes and models of vehicles and equipment.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
