HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Bilingual Surgical Coordinator to fill an opening in Tampa, Florida.

Daily Responsibilities for Bilingual Surgical Coordinator:
  • Give new patients paperwork to fill out, putting together medical charts, insurance verification
  • Answer calls and email with questions regarding surgical times, appointments and instructions
  • Assist patients with their documents and sign-in procedures.
  • Schedule patients' appointments and surgeries, sending reminders to patients, and scheduling emergency and add-on surgeries.
  • Understand surgical procedures, such as the necessary time a surgery takes and the medical staff necessary, in order to properly maintain a surgical schedule.
  • Provide patients with pre and post-operative instructions.
  • Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm

Required Qualifications for Bilingual Surgical Coordinator:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual English/Spanish - must be proficient and be able 
  • 1+ years of Surgical Coordination experience / no jumpy candidates
  • Understanding of medical insurance programs (not necessarily ophthalmology – they can teach that piece)
  • Someone who is comfortable collaborating with the team on site, physicians and primary care offices
  • Ability to communicate with patients in a professional manner / strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Pay Details: $20/hour - $21/hour
