Job Responsibilities: 

·         Exercise good public and customer relations skills at all times.  Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

·         Complete knowledge of The Sandbar beverage menu.

·         Responsible for taking the customers’ orders, keeping them organized, and timing the course

·         of service.

·         Prepare all drink orders according to the The Sandbar Menu as required and to charge for such orders as they are prepared and in the appropriate manner.

·         Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.

·         Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.

·         If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guests’ behavior, count number of drinks served, and

·         ask a Manager to intervene, if necessary.

·         Serve tables, as determined by management.

·         Dispense alcoholic beverages and controls service to ensure customers do not become intoxicated in accordance with liquor and company policies and regulations.

·         Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to required closing time.

·         Perform all side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneous preparation, stocking, etc. Wash and sanitize all glasses and utensils.  

·         Always stay in view of your station.

·         Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.

·         Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.

·         Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check.

·         Able to process check out and make change, if necessary.

·         Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are

·         essential.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Skills & Requirements: 

·         High school Degree or equivalent (preferred)

·         Alcohol Safety Certification (required)

·         ABC Bartending School, License and Certificate (it is a plus)

·         Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol

·         Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

·         English and Spanish speaker (preferred)

·         Good communication skills

·         Basic mathematical skills

·         Basic computer skills

·         Multi-task oriented
