GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

JASA is seeking a Senior Director of Impact and Performance (SDIP) to oversee the design and collection of programmatic and operational metrics to provide insight into agency performance. Serving our clients as well as we can is our top priority, and superior measurement and monitoring of metrics will help JASA fine-tune its programs and operations in response to the ever-evolving needs of older adults. The agency’s existing methods to collect program metrics and the recent roll-out of new case records and financial systems provide JASA with a strong foundation for data usage. However, to maximize our data collection and analysis, JASA needs the Senior Director of Impact Performance to take the reins and grow JASA into a truly data-driven organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Director of Impact and Performance will:

  1. Facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of programs and services, as well as internal operational departments

  2. Support the consolidation and implementation of JASA’s various client satisfaction surveys into one comprehensive and concise survey that can be administered to all of the organization’s clients

  3. Support with the creation of dashboards, resources and tools that provide visibility and insight to measure performance throughout the organization

  4. Support staff in developing their skills and capacity around data collection and using metrics for programmatic and individual improvement

  5. Partner with the Communications and Development teams to craft narratives around the agency’s demonstrated successes with clients given a well-functioning organization and for fundraising/philanthropic/annual reporting purposes

  6. Partner with Analytics Teams/Personnel in HR and IT to leverage JASA’s existing data management efforts and streamline how we collect, cull and report out on data for internal and external use

  7. Develop the Data Governors Council of leaders and structure the agendas, guiding principles and format for how JASA will regularly convene meetings to review, incorporate and disseminate information gathered from our KPIs, into our standard operating procedures, reporting and decision making

  8. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An advanced degree in public policy, social science, data science and analysis, or related fields, or comparable work experience with a wide range of quantitative and qualitative evaluation and assessment strategies

  • 7 - 10 years of proven experience collecting, analyzing, and communicating data at an organizational level for audiences of varying data sophistication, ideally in a social services context

  • At least 5 years experience with survey design and/or gathering client feedback is a plus

  • Proven ability and desire to work collaboratively and thoughtfully as part of a committed, integrated team and build strong relationships with colleagues

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely (both in writing and orally) with staff and management at various levels

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks, work independently, and excel in a high-performance culture

  • Ambitious, innovative, and creative mindset, bringing fresh perspectives to tasks and projects

  • Ability to work well on an interdisciplinary team of high performing leaders

  • Demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence when navigating the workspace, managing relationships and in negotiating priorities and deliverables

  • Professional maturity, good judgment, and the ability to motivate others in a similar way
