Job Summary: The Process Engineer - Injection Molding will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the injection molding processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection molding technology, process improvement, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize injection molding processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
  • Conduct process trials, evaluate results, and implement changes to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues related to injection molding, including machine malfunctions, tooling problems, and material defects.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and to provide input on new product designs.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train and support production staff on injection molding processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all manufacturing processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in injection molding technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on injection molding.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machinery, tooling, and materials.
  • Proficiency in using injection molding simulation software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
