The Office and Operations Manager serves an essential function in supporting and furthering St John’s mission. They are the hub of the church community by providing coordination and communication regarding the ministries and the day-to-day operations of the church. This position facilitates the day-to-day operations of the church. Primary responsibilities include coordination of church volunteers, oversight of special projects, strategic communications, and coordination of activities in the buildings.

This position requires excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn and confidently use new technologies. The Manager will work closely with the leadership, staff, and volunteers of St John’s in a collaborative team environment.

The Manager will reflect St. John’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and caring for the dignity of every human being in all aspects of their work. The Manager will also serve as a point of contact for Manna Community Kitchen and Community Center. A warm and empathetic interpersonal style is required for interaction with all church staff, members, and visitors as well as all Manna staff, volunteers, and guests.

The position is slated for 20-25 hours per week, with seasonal variation. Exact days and times are flexible. St John’s is a vibrant, dynamic, and growing church community, committed to being part of creating a more just and compassionate world. The Manager will be directly involved in this period of growth and change at St John’s as we move into our 200th year with many new faces, new programming, and new opportunities for engagement. Minimum Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree

· Two years of administrative experience with record of managing projects

· Experience in managing teams

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products

· Basic graphic design skills, such as Canva

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

· Warm, empathetic, and welcoming interpersonal style

· Ability to maintain online databases, such as spreadsheets and project management software; ability to learn and use communication systems, such as Zoom and Sign-up Genius

· Ability to keep accurate and detailed records, especially spreadsheets

· Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher

· Experience working in a non-profit or faith-based environment

· Marketing and graphic design experience

· Experience in volunteer management

Physical Requirements:

· Occasional light-to-moderate physical effort necessary to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds

· Ability to operate a keyboard and use other standard office equipment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Commensurate with experience; minimum annual salary of $28600 plus benefits

Expected hours: 20-25 hours per week with seasonal variation
