  • Reporting to the Director of the Smith Office for the Art (SOFA), the Program Manager is responsible for assisting with the programmatic and administrative duties of the growing Office for the Arts, with a focus on student engagement.
  • Manage event production for key SOFA events; including designing and implementing public programs, Orientation and First and Last week events, select artist visits, exhibitions, residencies, field trips/career treks, and collaborative and interdisciplinary programs with departments.
  • Assist in planning the annual Smith Arts Day, and the Smith Student Art Sales and other key SOFA events.
  • Work with key centers on campus to support strategic initiatives in the arts such as the Wurtele Center for Leadership, Lazarus Center for Career Development, Conway Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Jandon Center for Community Engagement, Design Thinking Initiative, Office of Student Engagement, Poetry Center, Smith Libraries, the Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA) and more.
  • Work with the SmithArts Marketing and Communications Manager to expand arts engagement platforms and implement new outreach strategies, with a focus on student engagement.
  • Provide supplemental support to fundraising efforts, working with Alumni Relations and Development as needed.
  • Five years of arts administration experience with at least two years of arts program development experience.
