The Cylinder Head Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, and reassembly of diesel engine cylinder heads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean, repair, or replace parts as necessary, according to specifications.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to reassemble cylinder heads.
- Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure the remanufactured components meet required specifications.
- Maintain documentation of all work performed on each unit.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Highest attention to detail and willingness to provide support at all levels to get the job done.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a diesel engine technician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of diesel engine components, especially cylinder heads.
- Proficiency with hand tools and machining equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to lift heavy (50 lbs.) equipment and parts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Fosters good coworker citizenship in the workplace, contributing to the overall positive work environment.
